For the past five years, Invader has conducted worldwide invasions with custom site-specific mosaic pieces based on the 1978 video game "Space Invaders" created by Toshiro Nishikado. The streets of Paris, Tokyo, New York, London, and Los Angeles (among many others) have become components in his public art planetary invasion.

In his work, Invader connects elements of the past to a  fantasized future through a complex weaving of signifiers that refer to the iconographic and temporal nature of pop-culture. This is the third monograph by acclaimed avante-garde artist Invader. It describes in pictures his process of creating unique art installations out of tiny tiles in public places, creating a new and original twist on street and graffiti art.

This volume focuses on Invader's obsession with Rubik's Cubes and Donkey Kong. Compared to his previous books, there's less text and less emphasis on documenting his work (not so much with the crazy maps), and more focus on simply displaying the art.
