In June 2002, the GAMeC (Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art, Bergamo) initiated a project named 'QUI' which opened the doors of the museum to anyone wishing to show their work, or simply to express their opinions and views on diverse issues.

This event was repeated two years later, this time involving 40 young Italian curators and critics, and became linked with the Lorenzo Bonaldi Arte-Enter Prize, which the GAMeC dedicated to curators under 30 years of age. The event has evolved to include curators and critics of all nationalities, and the wish is to create a geographical panorama of curators and the theory and practice of art criticism. This multinationality is reflected in the new name of the project, 'QUI ENTER ATLAS'.

This publication documents the evolution of this fascinating project and provides a forum for the critics and curators to explain their ideas amd express their opinions.
